SINOPSIS: Principios del siglo XX, Arabia. Bajo el implacable cielo del desierto, dos jefes tribales se declaran la guerra y se enfrentan. Los cuerpos de sus guerreros quedan esparcidos por el campo de batalla. Nesib, emir de Hobeika, es el vencedor e impone las condiciones a su rival Amar, sultán de Salmaah. Aceptan no intentar hacerse con la tierra de nadie que separa los dos reinos, conocida como Franja Amarilla. Como garantía, y de acuerdo con las leyes tribales de entonces, Nesib “adoptará” o, mejor dicho, se llevará como rehenes a los dos hijos de Amar, llamados Saleeh y Auda. Pasan los años, y Saleeh, que es un guerrero nato, quiere escapar de la jaula dorada en la que está encerrado y [COLOR=#000000 !important]regresar[/COLOR] a las tierras de su padre. Sin embargo, a Auda sólo le importan los libros y el conocimiento. Un día, llega un empresario de Texas para ver a Nesib, y le cuenta al emir que hay petróleo en sus tierras. Le promete riquezas que van mucho más allá de lo que pueda imaginar. Nesib ya ve un reino con carreteras, escuelas y hospitales construidos gracias al oro negro escondido debajo de la arena. Pero hay un problema: el petróleo está en la Franja Amarilla. Ha llegado el momento del último enfrentamiento para hacerse con el control de la Franja Amarilla, de los dos reinos y, sobre todo, del futuro.
